Distance and delivery from Amarillo

The drive from Amarillo to Clovis is about 106 road miles, roughly two hours, west on US 60 through Hereford and Friona and across the state line at Farwell and Texico. We deliver to Clovis and the rest of Curry County. Delivery and setup are priced separately from the home, based on your exact address, and you get the price in writing before you sign.

A singlewide arrives as one long section and a doublewide as two, so tell us early about tight gates, trees, power lines or soft ground on the way in.

Placing a home in Clovis: New Mexico permits and city zoning

In New Mexico, the Manufactured Housing Division of the Regulation and Licensing Department (MHD) is the inspection authority. No one may install a new or pre-owned manufactured home without an installation permit from MHD, and the work must be done by a New Mexico-licensed installer, or by the homeowner on a single site after passing MHD's exams. The set-up inspection covers blocking, sewer, water, electric, gas and foundations.

Inside Clovis city limits, the Unified Development Ordinance (adopted June 2019) treats a HUD-code manufactured housing unit like a detached house. It is a permitted use in the RS-170, RS-7, RM and CG districts and needs conditional approval in the CBD and I districts. Older mobile homes built to the pre-HUD standard are not permitted in the base districts. Confirm your property's zoning with the City of Clovis, or with Curry County if you are outside city limits, before you buy.
